Part-Time Nanny Needed for Sweet 5 Year Old

Temporary Part-Time Summer Nanny (with possible long-term position) needed for a sweet 5 year old daughter in Waterloo, NE! Schedule for the Summer is Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8AM - 4PM or 5 PM. The family is flexible on days and more hours can be added for the right fit. Especially added hours for weekend and evening hours as the parents may have events to go to (will be communicated ahead of time). Family Guarantees 27 hours per week (During the Summer, May 28th - August 9th). Hours and days may change as they may be looking for a babysitter and after school nanny during the school year. Starting rate is $18-23/hour. 

They want a nanny who is fun, sensible, smart, caring, attentive, creative, reliable, and experienced in childcare. Someone who fosters a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages the child's summer time fun, emotional well-being, self-expression, and engages children in fun activities (both in-home and outside). Ensuring the children are entertained and occupied while maintaining a safe and positive environment! A little bit about the family:

  • The family loves swimming, bike riding, walks, playing outside, barbies, trolls, and uno! The family does have a dog, so the nanny will need to be comfortable with a dog. The parents' parenting style is a firm parenting style where the kids know there are consequences to actions. Regarding screen time, the parents are comfortable with SOME screen time. They ultimately want their children to have a summer full of fun! 

This family is looking for someone who is:

Nannies Responsibilities with the child include:

  • Engage in age-appropriate play and activities that promote sensory integration, social skills, reading and cognitive development.

  • Preparing meals and feeding the children

  • Planning daily learning activities

  • Reading to/with children

  • Swimming and supervising pool area 

  • Possibility to Travel with family on trips (Traveling will be after Summer. This will be if the family and nanny agree to continue with the position after Summer time.)

Nanny Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with toddlers and 5+ Year Olds is required.

  • Strong observational and communication skills to effectively interact with the child and relay information to parents.

  • Basic First aid and CPR certification and Clean Driving Record.

  • A strong swimmer (the family has a pool and the kids love to go swimming)

  • Be able to provide Professional Childcare References 

NOTE: The family is willing to hire now and have the nanny do after school pick-up and possible babysitting before the Summer hours to get used to the family and the position. This position is temporary for now. If it is the right fit, the family would be more than happy to have a Long-Term Nanny during the school season. 

Compensation:

  • Starting Pay: $18-23/hr (dependent upon experience)

  • Weekly guaranteed hours - 27 (Parents are flexible with hours and can add for the right fit)

  • Gas Reimbursement (during work hours)

  • Travel Expenses Paid for (if the family does take the Nanny on a trip with them)

Location: Spring Hill, TN

Long-Term Part-Time Nanny/Babysitter needed for an 8 year old High Functioning Autism boy in Spring Hill, TN! Schedule (to start with) is Monday, Tuesday & Friday 5:15 - 6:30 AM. Family Guarantees Approximately 3.5  hours per week (flexibility is required). Occasional weekends or full day care is needed when the mother is on call, but the nanny/babysitter would know in advance. Schedule may change after July, possibility of more hours in the future.  Starting rate is $28-34/hour. They want a nanny who is Punctual, responsible, reliable, good personality, good at being social with children, and good with animals. Someone who fosters a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages the child's growth and well-being!

  • The family loves going to the zoo, movies, and the beach together! The family does have a cat and dog. So a nanny/babysitter would need to be comfortable with animals. Their 8 year old son is very social and loves to talk. He has high functioning autism and is very smart. He loves playing basketball, baseball,  dancing, and electronics. Their son is allergic to dairy. Their son is allowed some screen time during the day. It is dependent on his day at school and if he is allowed to earn some time on it. They only allow him to watch nice videos (no car wrecks or accidents or foul language).

  • The parents' parenting style is a consequence type of approach. Their son is usually a pretty good kid. If he does act up then the parents usually have to take his electronics away until he is able to earn them back.

This family is looking for someone who is:

  • Transport to and from school.

  • May be required to start dinner on occasion.

  • Sick Care (when the child can not go to school) 

  • Other duties: Let the dog outside to go potty.

Nanny Qualifications:

NOTE: Schedule is subject to change in July and more hours available. The child is on a waiting list to an ABA clinic. Parents will give the nanny/babysitter enough notice regarding schedule changes. 

HOLIDAY NOTE: Since the mother is in the medical field, major Holidays most likely are off (Christmas Eve + Day and Thanksgiving) but some holidays (one holiday a year) in which a nanny would need to work. Example: 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, New Years Eve + Day, maybe Christmas Eve (nanny would be off at 6:30-7PM if mom did have to go in for work BUT most of the time their family is down for the Holidays so this would be a hypothetical circumstance)

  • The mother will know from the beginning of the year of what Holidays she will be working.

Compensation:

  • Starting Pay: $28-34/hr (dependent upon experience)

  • Weekly flexible hours: 3.5+ hours

  • Gas Reimbursement (during work hours while transporting their son)

  • 5 days PTO (after working a consecutive of 120 days)

  • 3 Sick days

  • Annual/Yearly performance reviews and Annual Raises!

Long-Term Recurring Babysitter needed for Sweet 1.5 Year Old

Long-Term, Recurring Babysitter needed for a bright, sweet 1.5 year old girl in Clarksville, TN! Schedule will be as needed, but the mother is thinking on the Weekdays between 5 pm - 8pm and Weekends between at 5 pm - 8pm or later. The mother will let the babysitter know at least 1-2 weeks in advance regarding babysitting dates and hours. The little girl will be starting Montessori in June (Monday-Friday) and gets out at 12PM. Babysitter may need to pick her up and watch her. Mother is willing to work with a nanny/babysitter regarding more hours. Starting rate is $20-25/hour DOE. The mother wants a babysitter who is gentle, patient, laid back, mild mannered, stern, compassionate, reliable, and experienced. Someone who engages with her daughter, models and fosters a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages the child's emotional well-being, self-expression, and social interaction! The mother would love someone who can also help with Sign Language (ASL) - the child is not fluent but knows about 20 sign languages. She is also learning colors right now!

  • Screen Time Preference: Mother is comfortable with SOME screen time. It is subjective. The child only gets an hour during the evening but the mother tries to give her as much play as possible and shorten screen time.

  • Preparing meals and feeding the child: mother will communicate if her daughter has eaten or not. Food will need to be warmed up. 

  • Provide snacks.

  • Playing Indoors and engaging with the child before bedtime.

  • Prepare her for bed at 8pm routine: reads a book, says a prayer and then she lays down. Sometimes pat to sleep or rocks depending on how she feels. Mother will bathe and brush teeth before the babysitter comes. 

  • Supervise as the child sleeps.

 

Nanny Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children.

  • Strong observational and communication skills to effectively interact with the child and relay information to parents.

  • CPR Certified

  • At least 2 years of Babysitting and/or Childcare Experience

  • Can Provide 3 Childcare References
